Ahal Dara located about 4-5 Km away from the village from where you can see the exotic view of Snowcapped Mount Kanchenjungha peaks. In the early hour of morning you can witness the sunrise with the green mountain slopes covered, Pine trees and the flowing of river Teesta will definitely make you feel like in heaven. You can also go for trek with your family and friends enjoying the peace and delightful environment. From the base of Ahaldara View point the main road continues and leads to a lake called Namthing Lake through Cinchona and pine trees.

Namthing
Namthing Pokhari is located at Shelpu Hills of Darjeeling Dist. Namthing/ Namthing Pokhari Situated at an altitude of 4250 ft above sea level. Namthing Lake is one of the few places in the region where you can see the Himalayan Newt (Salamander) in the wild, This lonely place is also habitat of beautiful birds, butterflies and some wild animals.
